Emmerich Piston Diaphragm Pumps - Tradition & InnovationEmmerich Pumpenfabrik Gmbh was founded in 1945 in Cologne, Germany. Based on the experience of more than 50 years. Emmerich has become one of the leading specialists for manufacturing piston and diaphragm pumps to handle abrasive slurries at high pressures. Emmerich excels in meeting difficult requirements specified by the customer.
How does a Piston Diaphragm Pump Operate? Energy is transmitted from the gear unit to the collar type piston, guided in a bushing. The piston conveys the pump action via hydraulic working liquid to the diaphragm. During the suction stroke, the diaphragm moves towards the secondary side. The lower pressure created opens the suction valve, allowing product to be pumped to flow into the diaphragm casing. During the discharge stroke, the diaphragm is pushed to the primary side and pumped material is pushed through the discharge valve into the discharge line.
